Job Description

As part of the KYC Team in the Anti Money Laundering (AML) organization you’ll join an open and sharing community with highly skilled colleagues.

The KYC Team is in charge of handling complex Know-Your-Customer (KYC) cases provided by Sales and the Operations departments, providing guidance to before-mentioned departments, driving all efforts to ensure compliant processes e.g. KYC-process, Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) or Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for Nets to meet the strategic AML goals.

The KYC Specialist is the first contact person for Sales and Operations teams to give clear guidance on the handling of complex KYC-cases. Further the role is part of both developing and further optimization of existing processes according to the current German AML regulation.

This position is permanent, and the working hours are within the standard office hours on weekdays. You will report to the KYC Team Leader.

More specifically your responsibilities include:

  • Designing and maintaining processes and tools for the KYC area on the basis of regulation and policies from group/2nd line
  • Developing SOPs, supporting the KYC Ops team and others in need (could be Sales)
  • Providing expert support to the wider Nets organization on understanding and carrying out the processes
  • Performing KYC reporting
  • Performing regular reviews of existing and proposed legislation, regulatory announcements, and industry practise to pre-empt changes to procedures and to ensure that regulatory and policy requirements are always met
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to address regulatory requirements
  • Assisting 1LOD in investigating identified threats and making recommendations for mitigating actions
  • Reporting any high-risk client relationships and suspicious activity to the Deputy or Local MLRO responsible
  • Continuously developing the KYC and ODD/EDD processes based on industry insights and regulatory changes, and help operations and the business adhere to any process improvements
  • Supporting the Pep & Sanction Screening and related escalations

Qualifications

Skills and experience:

  • Strong in English and German, both spoken and in writing
  • 1-3 years of experience working KYC/AML processes, ideally within the financial services sector with focus on B2B clients
  • Experience in Pep & Sanction Screening
  • Detail oriented and a strong analytical skill set
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, verbally and in writing, as you will be required to communicate with people with diverse skill sets and seniority across Nets
