Product Manager – E-Drive (w/m/d)

For our client, a leading provider of innovative lightweighting solutions for the global automotive industry, we are looking for a Product Manager – E-Drive (w/m/d).

Your role:

• You are responsible for system simulations for the development of multi-physical models of batteries, such as electro-thermal battery models, ageing models, thermal runaway models and models for moisture control within battery packs.
• At the same time, you will contribute to the development of module and battery concepts in pre-development and support the optimisation, as well as the component design in series development.
• In close cooperation with the testing department, you will evaluate the function-specific BMS parameters and carry out measurements of the required simulation input parameters (e.g. ageing test data, electrical and thermal cell characterisation).
• Ideally, you have already gained experience in the definition of test specifications through simulations, as well as the requirements evaluation in customer acquisition, where you have carried out the customer-specific evaluation of the requirements (energy, performance, service life, thermal properties, etc.).

Your profile:

• You have at least 3 years of professional product management experience.
• You are an expert when it comes to battery products, e-drive, battery tray and e-casing.
• You successfully completed a Bachelor/Master degree in economics (with an affinity for technology), engineering, mechatronics or equivalent.
• Ideally, you have applied your engineering knowledge on topics such as battery development, system architecture, system simulation, but also e-mobility, as well as fluid mechanics with the support of software such as SIMCENTER AMESIM; GT SUITE; MATLAB; DOORS (next generation); VISIO; CATIA and are happy to share your knowledge with your team.
• Your confident handling of standard office software (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.), as well as a certain willingness to travel (20-30%) round off your profile.
• You are fluent in English.
