What is the purpose of the job? As a Technical Communicator you will create content structure and implementing methods for the use of CCMS, including metadata, reuse and variant management. As a Technical Communicator, you will work in the content engineering field to provide a metadata architecture and end enable excellent content creation. You will within a team of technical communication and IT experts develop platforms, tools and processes to deliver product related content to the customer’s need.
What is the job about?
- You will be responsible for enhancing and updating reuse strategy for topics and sub-topic structures
- You will be responsible for managing and maintaining metadata structure
- You will improve CCMS and content delivery platforms
- You will keep professional skills and domain knowledge up to date
- You will develop and support new deliverables of technical communication
- You will secure consistency across product documentation (standardization of content)
- You will create processes and guidelines of content engineering and keeping them up to date
- You will train Technical Communicators and Technical Editors in using the content engineering processes
What do you need to apply?
- You have technical (engineering) background coupled with a solid technical communication experience
- You have a structured and analytic thinking
- You dare to experiment and enter fields that are new
- You have fluent knowledge in English
- You have communicative and information presentation capabilities
- You are familiar with XML, DITA and related technologies
- You have advanced understanding of topic-based authoring, reuse, and content
- delivery processes
